How Our Pricing Data Is Collected
Our automated monitor visits the official pricing page of every tracked tool weekly. The published plans and prices are extracted and stored as a dated snapshot. We do not copy prices from other websites, estimate them, or rely on cached data — every price is read from the vendor’s own page.
How Changes Are Verified
When a snapshot differs from the previous one, we do not report it immediately. The page is fetched and read a second time, independently. Only if both reads agree is the change recorded and dated in the tool’s change history. This two-read rule exists to filter out A/B tests, regional variations, and extraction noise. Pages that hide prices behind interactive elements are flagged rather than guessed at — if we cannot verify a price, we show “—” instead of a number.
How Content Is Produced
We use automation and AI assistance in producing this site, and we would rather say so plainly than pretend otherwise. Pricing tables, change histories, and the discount leaderboard are generated directly from our verified data with no AI involvement — they are math, not prose. News articles about price changes are built from monitor data, with a short AI-assisted analysis section that is restricted to the verified facts. Reviews and comparisons are AI-assisted drafts based on published product information, reviewed before publication.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not invent authors, credentials, or hands-on testing claims
- We do not let affiliate relationships influence reported prices
- We do not backdate, edit, or delete change history records
Corrections Policy
Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are verified against the official source. Material corrections on news articles are noted in the article. To report an error, use the contact information on our About page.
